We’re Rebranding!

Hybrid Atelier Workshop at Seven Springs

You guys.

I am almost embarrassed to admit how long I have been sitting on these gorgeous images. Nellie was a little over seven weeks old when I styled and co-hosted my first ever photography workshop! This project was sponsored by the super talented and lovely Shannon Moffit Photography and Nikki Santerre Photography. Together they are the awesome duo that make up The Hybrid Atelier, an education based program for aspiring and working photographers.

It is always an absolute pleasure to create something beautiful from scratch. Mallory Joyce provided the gorgeous florals for this project, while Seven Springs offered a naturally beautiful backdrop for our designs.

The attendees enjoyed an educational presentation organized by the hosts, as well as, a delicious catered lunch, followed by a super fun “shoot out” where they were able to creatively and independently capture our beautiful subjects, the dreamy tablescape designed by yours truly <3, and several flatlay options to choose from.

It was an incredible experience that I hope to get the chance to relish again soon.

A special thank you to Shannon and Nikki for trusting me to be a part of this amazing inspiration and to Wedding Sparrow for the oh so flattering feature!

I hope you love it, too …

Modern Upper Shirley Vineyards Summer Wedding

Can we talk about passion projects for a moment? It is so fulfilling to watch your vision come to life after spending countless hours, designing, sourcing and assembling the perfect team to execute it. Especially, when it turns out like this one here <3

This stunning wedding editorial was pulled together in a cool six months, due to an unexpected road block that set us back three additional months and pushed us into the steamy summer months, instead. It’s little obstacles like this that really put the process into perspective. We are not in control. Literally. Zero control. And that’s okay! It’s how you pick up the pieces and rebuild that matters. This industry has taught me some hard lessons, but I am so grateful to be able to continually produce events that push my creative limits and tap into energies I never even knew I had. This production was one of those incredibly challenging, yet worth every last miniature panic attack, projects.

Every last one of the rockstar vendors I brought on board delivered beyond my wildest dreams. I am so in love with every single unique detail. Down to the color palette that’s guaranteed to stretch past quite a few comfort zones, but is so dreamy to see together. The fun little citrusy, peach and lemon, summer details paired with the soft powder blue, onyx and burnt caramel elements. The Alexandra Grecco stunner. The sweet sunset scenes on the Upper Shirley Vineyards property. Summertime Magic, for sure.

Just see for yourself 😉

CHARLESTON BRIDAL INSPIRATION | MIDDLETON PLACE WEDDING

I left a little piece of my heart in Charleston a few years ago and have taken advantage of every opportunity to return since. The architecture, the weather, the food. OMG, the FOOD. Just the general vibe of the city is magnetic and pure magic. So, when Erika of Erika Brown Photography reached out hoping to collaborate on a project together, I was all over it!

We used a soft and romantic palette of muted berry tones and creamy pastels to create a desirable wedding look for any season. Accented with modern touches like the clean lines of the Orleans Sarah Seven gown and the unfussy, simplicity of the tabletop design, we designed an intriguingly charmed vignette that can easily be appreciated despite personal style and preferences.

It was such a pleasure working with this talented team of creatives. When people love what they do, it translates so purely into their craft. It was so refreshing to trust in the professionalism of others. Every single piece of this collaboration flowed seamlessly into the next. The Middleton Place grounds were so picturesque and effortless. The gardens are full of lush Spanish moss and breathtaking water views. With carriage rides, live peacock roaming the property, beautifully preserved original construction and so many other amazing features, alive with so much character and detail. Middleton Place is hands down, one of the most exciting and inclusive wedding venues in the city. We are definitely looking forward to seeing the completed pavilion soon.

Since we discovered it, Charleston has become one of those hip and trendy travel destinations you read about on those “Top US Cities to Visit” kind of lists. But, it really does live up to the hype. Still not convinced? Have a look for yourself 😉
